3 AAG Members in National Watermedia Exhibition
Three Anderson Artists Guild members—Teresa Anderson, Al Morris, and JoAnne Anderson—had works accepted for the South Carolina Watermedia Society’s 2022 National Exhibition. Peggy Arnett Says Yes When the World Says No
Peggy Arnett, a new member of the Anderson Artists Guild, has a stubborn streak. As a kid, for instance, she used to show her dad her black and white sketches, and he suggested adding color. “That angered me,” she said. “I dug in my heels about painting until 2014.” When she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1989, she didn’t let it stop her. “That was quite a hard blow,” she said. “But I decided at that point to do everything I’d always wanted to do.” She became an eme


Kathe Harris Uses Acrylics Like Oils
New Anderson Artists Guild member Kathe Harris had a long career teaching art, with stints in Spartanburg District 7, Homeland Park Elementary, South Fant Elementary, Centerville Elementary, and Hanna High School. She also served as an assistant principal at Homeland Park. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education from West Virginia University and an Interdisciplinary Master of Art degree from the University of South Carolina. Nancy Anna Makes Art from Leather
New Anderson Artists Guild member Nancy Anna moved to California in her twenties, drawn from her native Connecticut to life in a big city. She made a living doing office work for medical groups. “I enjoyed it but always wanted to pursue my art," she said. She had started doing leathercraft—making belts and wallets—as a teenager.
